    孤儿周伟杰与李卓豪一日因偷窃被追捕。伟杰被捉拿而卓豪逃去。二人从此失去联络，伟杰被探长林昌收养，与昌女儿秀芳青梅竹马，卓豪则成为黑帮流氓。多年后二人重逢，虽际遇不同，旧情不改。不久，因黑白两道争斗，卓豪养父金经理暗中杀死林昌，伟杰向卓豪问明此事，卓豪不忍出卖养父，诈作不知。伟杰毅然加入警队，誓将凶手绳之于法，同时亦离开义妹秀芳。从此卓豪伟杰秀芳三人中断联络，各自生活。三年后，伟杰成为探长，卓豪亦为帮会第二号人物，二人又再聚首。卓豪对秀芳仍有爱意，但自知身份悬殊，遂设法撮合伟杰与秀芳。

    电影《铁胆》讲述了地下党兄弟与日本军官家族之间的斗争。影片中，地下党员杨裕光埋伏在日本军官松下家中，进行一次拯救抗日壮士的秘密行动。炸药险些爆炸，松下的妻子阿久爬行将其拆除，杨裕光在她的脖颈上留下了烙印。

    杨裕光在行动中受伤，被青椒带回家中养伤，阿久也来了。她有一份钨簽商票，想借道传达地下党员。这时，日本军方派遣了松下的表弟，他便是一个变态杀手，疯狂追杀杨裕光，杨裕光在极度危险中脱离了生死劫难。

    最后，阿久成为了地下党的一份子，并与杨裕光走到了一起。

    影片唯美而深刻地描绘了抗战时期中国人民与日本侵略者的残酷对抗，强调民族团结与抵抗的重要性，也表现了毅然决然的奋斗精神和爱国情怀。片中的演员们表现出色，情节跌宕起伏，悬念不断，是一部值得一看的优秀作品。
